PhD. Architect, Professor at the School of Building Engineering.The professor’s research lines focus ongypsum as base material or matrix capable of incorporating waste from the industry, in order to reduce its environmental impact. HerPhDthesis analyzed and developed new applications of prefabricated plaster panels lightened and reinforced with E-glass fiber and other additives. Her research activity includes numerous congresses, conferences and workshops, both national and international, as well as the supervision of multiple Master and PhD Thesis.

Dr. Jaime Santa cruz Astorqui (jaime.santacruz@upm.es)
PhD. Architect, Associate Professor.The Professor teaches “Final Degree Project” in the School of Building Engineering. His research works are related to the characterizationof construction products with finite element simulation tools. The Professor has participated in more than 24 research projects, which has given him the opportunity to publish numerous articles in international scientific journals and to participate in different national and international conferences.
Dr. Paola Villoria Sáez (paola.villoria@upm.es)
PhD. Building Engineer, Assistant lecturer.She is a lecturer at the Technical University of Madrid (UPM) and teaches Introduction to construction subject. Her background in building and environmental engineering is a combination of research in the area of waste management and built environment. In her PhD thesis, she designed a construction waste management system to be implemented during the construction works. Over the past years, she has published several scientific articles and has participated in various conferences and research projects
Dr. César Porras Amores (c.porras@upm.es)
PhD. Building Engineer, Assistant lecturer.He is a lecturer at the Technical University of Madrid (UPM) and teaches Construction Materials. His research focuses on the development of advanced numerical models and the implementation of monitoring systems, in order to study Buildings energy efficiency and indoor air quality. In recent years, he has participated in several research projects, coordinating activities and multidisciplinary initiatives in the field of building construction.
Dr. Julián García Muñoz (julian.garciam@upm.es)
PhD.
Building Engineer with a Degree in Art History. Associate Professor at
the Architectural Building Department of the Polytechnic University –
Madrid. An expert on the mechanics and behavior of masonry structures,
he conducts research on the structural safety of historic monuments and
on construction in developing regions. Prof. García is the author of
several journal papers in structural mechanics and has intervened in
several national and international conferences.Dra. Carolina Piña Ramírez (carolina.pina@upm.es)
PhD. Building Engineer, Assistant lecturer.She is a lecturer of the Department of Architectural Constructions and Control at the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), and teaches Planning and Programming of Works, Management of the Building Process and Economic and Planning Management subjects. The research being developed is included in the area of Environment and Sustainable Construction, specifically within the line of research: Construction Waste Management and Demolition (RCD) for its use as new materials for construction. Over the past years, she has published several scientific articles and has participated in various conferences and research projects.
Dra. Alejandra Vidales Barriguete (alejandra.vidales@upm.es)
Degree in Technical Architecture and Ph.D by Polytechnic University of
Madrid (UPM), and Building Engineer by Camilo José Cela University
(UCJC). Professor of the Department of Building Technology, she teaches
the disciplines of Quality in Building, Integrated Management Systems
and Facilities. Her research is encompassed within the area of
Environment and Sustainable Construction, specifically within the
research line: Recycling of Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW) for
new sustainable building materials. She has published several
scientific articles on this subject and participated in some national
and international congresses.Dr. M. Alejandro Pedreño Rojas (alejandro.pedreno@upm.es)
Ph.D. Architect by the University of Seville (US). He is currently
Assistant Professor of the Department of Architectural Constructions and
their Control, teaching Building Materials subjects, at the Polytechnic
University of Madrid (UPM). His lines of research focus on the
implementation of sustainability in the construction sector: through the
reuse of waste to generate new materials and promoting eco-efficient
rehabilitation solutions in buildings. In this line, he has published
several scientific articles and has participated in congresses and
